Founded in 1986, some of the company’s first projects were completing cleanroom environments and seismic upgrades. Today, Milroy construction continues to do these types of job, plus other complex building repairs, remodels and structural support projects.

We are an industry leader in our implementation of Oracle’s Contract Management  that enables project team members internal and external to effectively administer the project.

Rod Milroy (Owner)

Rod founded Milroy Construction in 1986, initially building cleanroom environments and completing seismic upgrades. More than two decades later, Milroy Construction continues to offer expertise constructing cleanroom environments and providing seismic improvements, as well as doing design/build work, building repairs, tenant and office remodelling, waterproofing and architectural restoration.

Sam Milroy (Partner)

Sam holds a B.A. in Construction Engineering Management, his own contractor’s license and is LEED AP certified. Recent projects include serving as construction manager for both a design/build for Tyco Equipment Relocation and the highly complex Silicon Valley Lab waterproofing project for IBM.

Paul Kraus (CAD Specialist)

Milroy’s first employee, Paul has over 30 years of construction experience. His advanced skills in CAD design and Primavera software make him a key player in many of Milroy’s design/build projects. Paul’s expertise also includes fine carpentry, such as the restoration work he spearheaded on Stanford’s historic Hanna House.

Cathy Ridenour (Office Manager)

Cathy brings a wealth of contract, insurance and document control experience to her detail-oriented job.

Jose Sarmiento (Superintendent)

Jose began his construction career as an apprentice carpenter, earning his journeyman card four years later. Jose joined Milroy in 2000, has worked in all areas of construction from residential to commercial, and now supervises projects in the field.

John Fitzpatrick (Superintendent)

John has been managing all Ghirardelli projects for Milroy Construction since 2006. He is an integral team member and has a perfect safely record. John is responsible for all construction projects at Ghirardelli Chocolate including the Voluntary Seismic Upgrade Project.
